DECEMBER 2024 MINOR UPDATES

Revamped the changelog page, obviously, and changed the songs on the homepage! It used to be indie rock, but now it's more geared towards my current obsession: symphonic metal. Doesn't fit the site as well, but who give a shit.

AUTUMN 2024 CHARACTER PAGE REVAMP
EARLY OCTOBER 2024

Sometime in early October, I woke up and decided I wanted to completely change the character page. Before then, It looked something like this, (broken links and terrible placeholder text character pages warning!) which worked fine for a while, but wasn't suiting my needs anymore. I wanted something nice and convenient, both to navigate and to add new characters to. I was thinking of using IFrames, but ultimately ended up using what little Javascript knowledge I had to use the good ol' document.getElementbyId instead. It suited me fine, and I made a simple character profile format that didn't need me to write too much.

OCTOBER 12 2024

But wait! On October 12, 2024, I made a lighthearted Tumblr post lamenting an inefficient part of the system I had concocted out of duct tape and pain. My wonderful programmer friend Red thought that this simply wouldn't do, and insisted on building another character-displaying system for me. He made in one Saturday morning what took me the whole week, and after some trial and error and various tweaks, I got it working perfectly. This is now what you see in action on the characters page.

Much of this time was spent drawing fullbodies and redoing references for neglected characters that needed something up-to-date for their little character profile, and further developing their hobbies and personalities.

MARCH 2024 OVERHAUL

Hi! I'm actually writing this in December, so forgive me for missing any details, but I majorly overhauled the site design, in the front and back end. The classes were poorly named, there were random style tags on every page, and I relied too heavily on external CSS frameworks, so I decided to entirely rewrite the site. But wait, that's not all! I felt that I was getting tired of the site design, so I revamped that, as well. It's almost like it became an entirely new site! I changed it from just generally being Green to more of a forest theme, as you can infer from the little welcome blurb on the front page. Even still, in December 2024, the revamp is far from done (due to my own procrastination and the looming threat of SAT studying over my head the whole year, but that one's gone now, phew...) and I'll do my best to make this site even better in 2025! And maybe not forget the anniversary this time...

  • Finally added all the art I've made in the past two months to the art page.
  • Split the all section of the art page into two because editing it was getting genuinely laggy.
  • Added a bunch of character pages. Very bare-bones ones, but still!

  • Just realized I haven't made a major update in 2 months.
  • Removed the links and music pages (well, the links to them) because they are outdated.
  • Slowly removing Bootstrap from the character pages.
  • I also just realized this page has Bootstrap.
